Touchin the sky....

...was what OMARI West came to convince us to do last Sunday and so with little convincing, I found myself waiting in line at the stadium. The hip hop crowd was looking good and I daresay that it was one of the very very very very very few times I have found myself in the company of potentially good looking, taller then me male species in this city. Before you start scouting for those cheap tickets, I should probably clarify that a good number of them were foreigners..hehe gotcha!

So nyway on a scale of 1-10, I would give this show a 5.5.Induldge me....
The hotstuff
1)Using local talent a.k.a the violin playing chics was great I thought. Gave the chance to the hosts to shine.
2)Kanye's giving props to artists he has worked with and dropping tracks juicy tracks from them.
3)The dj he brought to the gig working those decs like his life depending on it. I'm not a fun of all the scratchin' scratchin' but when done well, it has a totally different effect.
4)The chance to see real life good looking lads, even though i'm doubtful if they are of legal age:(....It should also translate to 'this is not a common thing here' :)

The could have been better
1) Why did we have to wait so long before the show started?
2) They could have had more djs on site to warm up the crowd and get them in the mood. I missed the opening act, but I heard it was basically a fiasco...too many singers on stage = too many cooks in the kitchen
3) After all the waiting, the show would have gone on for longer..
4) Where was the matching band xteristic of Kanye's performances. That would sure have added some jazz.
5) The dark sun-glasses on throughout the night...soo not kool. Im HUGE on body language and unless we are outside in the blazin blazin sun, I see no reason why people a) wear sun glasses at night b) wear sunglasses at night indoors in a highly humid environment..SERIOUSLY! If I see your face, we connect...its just polite. Plus we waited all the while to see you...hmmm
6) What is it with folks who go to concerts and spend all night sitting down? Seriously? The tunes were droppin, some folks were sitting...This happened at other concerts Ive been to here so I have every reason to believe that the beef is with the people.

Oh well, that havin been said, Kanye West's Touch the sky concert..CHECK!
Aaaa, one last thing..he is called Omari! Sooooo sub saharan africa that name..
