Get a personality?
I had a hearty discussion with a friend yesterday which ended up at the question, what kind of chics do you go for? To which he quickly responded...someone with a PERSONALITY. Sounds quite basic eih? So I asked, personality like how? That was followed by the usual n minutes of one struggling to answer this in the best way possible(there is always copious amounts of you know, you see, get it?) and I realised how many times we actually use umbrella words like that without actually zeroing in on the real answer.
Now if you have ever answered that question in the same way, raise your hand. Yes you, I see you. If your hand aint raised, I'm impressed but not convinced:).
Thus I went on a quest to find out the meaning of having a personality..you know just incase you need to know this in order to define your relationships (get rid of someone, get together with someone, find an excuse to not be with someone e.t.c)..Ok this is clearly random..but moving on.
So then, a personality....there are 50 million descriptions/synonyms e.t. ranging from the psychlogical stuff like character, traits, behaviour all the way to the random/gramatical stuff like celebrity. So basically having a personality goes from someone's set of characteristics TO being Brad Pitt, Will Smith or whoever else falls into that celebrity category.

After reading some of these, I have to add that is a very nasty thing to say to someone that they lack personality...I think?

Hehe babe, I love your randomness. That also shows a trait of personality that you own. Don't worry too much about the subject though; all of us that know you can see that your personality rocks big time!
Listen, sunshine, here's a pearl for you. I do not know who that friend of yours is (and I am sure he is a nice guy, and all) but he could have made it easy for you and translated you the meaning of the words PERSONALITY & CHARACTER
PERSONALITY: BOOBS
CHARACTER: ASS
THAT simple. Yeah.. just lai dat!
If a guy tells you "Wow, she has a great personality..." Then you know what he means.
NO PERSONALITY: Flat as an iron board
NO CHARACTER: Flat-assed girl
and all the possible combinations... it's al abut the boobs and the ass... nothing more, nothng less. It was and it will always be about those two ITEMS.
Now hat you have been enlightened with the truth, go around asking if they prefer PERSONALITY over CHARACTER; vice versa... or what combination s the most interesting for them. now, THAT IS THE RANDOM question you need to go asking around.
On that note I DARE YOU PUBLICLY in your own blog to go around, ask, and report back in ONE WEEK with the finding. I am quite sure the results will be quite favorable to the PERSONALTY. In latin America the most important is CHARACTER. I tell you THAT! :):):)
