I went to East Africa and I saw.....

Disclaimer: This posting is a reconstruction. The initial nice and juicy script has since vamoosed thanks to the antics of the local power company.
....Green rolling hills;evergreen forests with patches where deforestation is rife;golden brown fields of savannah grassland that make you think of Sting's 'Fields of Gold';rioting students and citizens; vibrant colourful peace loving market women;baton wielding cops as well as your rare smiling traffic commandants;14hr bus rides on roads so nasty they put any safari rally track to shame;peace, joy, faith, prosperity and hope on the faces of citizens despite the political drama that is characteristic of this zones;entrepernurial folks who shove a naked grilled chicken, bananas, roast maize, contraband goods through your bus window once it slows down near a market area;fresh breezes that bring with them the smell of eucalyptus scents;landscapes so green and so brown they make the day worth living;acacia trees;hillsides dotted with goats, sheep, cows;matatus painted with all manner of colours and inscriptions;the smell and taste of mum's cooking;the reassurig hug of a friend;the pissed off look of a jilted lover;bootie so big beneath fragile denim fabric;ugali, mandazi, beef samosas, kenchic chips;blue skies amidst verdent green tea bushes...sigh...
