stuff,stuff and more stuff...
There's nothing funny about witnessing an accident! nothing at all!
There I was minding my own business walking from the mall, about to embark on crossing a major highway (yes we can do that..I'm from a developing country!), nibling on the greatest pastry temptation in Malaysia a 'mexican bun' (i dont think the mexicans know about this one), locally known as roti boy (www.rotiboy.com), recalling a funky chat I just had with Joe, workload that was causing major havoc on my chi(im in Asia, im allowed to use the whole ying & yeng vybe) was off the desk and was actually going home early, soundtrack in my head ..u get the drift. So I get to the sidewalk and im waiting for traffic to ease up so I can do the dash across..Im also watching a motorbike (2 occcupants) on the other side of the highway attempting to do a diagonal across the highway...fleeting glance in the direction of traffic and then wham! bang! screech!damn! motorbike down, one rider rolling on the ground, other guy under the car...cars backs up, quick action, injured in car, life goes on....
Now things like that make you think and think very very hard! ...whats best is anyone who arrived at the scene 2 minutes later had no inkling of what happened..the dudes will survive, they were'nt bashed too hard...in short life does go on and its also very very short....
Don't misread me, im not spreading negative karma, just spreading some hope for sharpness on the road....Which reminds me - if anyone has experienced traffic in Cairo, they can identify with the concept of 'disorganised mayhem'. I was an odd one, I took public transport there and ofcourse my team thought I was nuts (they may have had a point at the time), if you've never seen a survival for the fitness contest between drivers and pedestrians, then get to Cairo pronto and try crossing the road....many a hairs were raised trying to get to work and back....
As we start off our xmas stories, word from the bank manager is he doesn't want to see my face, 'Yu know good for business loh' he thinks. Im running close to a negative account but I have this grin across my face because its the result of a shiny ticket to the city of Nairobi via Dubai yuh baby!!! Im so headed for home ...come sunday evening i'll be watching an African sunset, under that acacia tree, listening to some local tunes and basking in the adoration of family and friends..as we used to say in Cairo...Inshallah!

True Pilli. And it is a good moment to remind people: DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE. They do not mix well. (They are like Chocolate liquor and durian, you know? Or veggiemite and vodka, or... well, I guess you got the picture)
It might sound like an old fart giving crappy advise, but the reality is that you never know how much your reflexus (if this is how you write it) are afected by alcohol and you CERTAINLY need them when you drive.
have fun, get wasted if you like, but stay over (PLUS< who knows, you might get lucky... although you are not going to remember about it in the next morning - which sometimes is good!) :):)
hahahaha Nacho, now we know what the festive season will bbe for you hehehehehehe Merry Xmas....!
